In the effort to strengthen the Filipino people’s awareness and preparation to naturally-occurring hazards or the so called geologic hazards, the intensive Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Campaign for Geohazards and Orientation on the 1:10,000 Landslide/Flood Susceptibility Maps is continuously being facilitated by Mines and Geosciences Bureau IX (MGB IX). For the past two (2) years, the subject focusing on climate change adaptation and mitigation is prioritized. The undertaking, which is mainly for the marginalized people of the community, is one of the target activities of MGB in connection with the Geohazard Assessment and Mapping Program and Vulnerability and Risk Assessment under the 3-Year Intensive IEC Campaign which started last 2015.
