Six (6) newly appointed MGB-IX personnel swore their Oath of Office before RD Hernani Abdon who adminstered the same.
Two technical personnel from the Mine Management Division, Engr. Ventrick Ceazar Albano and Engr. Keith Leymann Bontao were appointed as Engineer III and Engineer II, respectively. Meanwhile, Engr. Regienald Hebron of the Mine Safety Environment and Social Development Division was appointed as Senior Science Research Specialist.
The other three personnel from the Finance and Administration, Ms. Je-an Baya, Ms. Emily Matulac and Ms. Robina Ebol were among the six who also received their well-deserved appointments.
After the Oath Taking, RD Abdon gave a brief pep talk and reminded them of their duties and responsibilities as government employees.

This quote proved to be true today when MGB-IX had been announced No. 1 among the 15 regions for its 2020's performance during the 4th Management Conference last December 17, 2021 held at MGB Central Office.
Indeed, the efforts of the women and men of MGB-IX have paid off through the leadership of OIC, Regional Director Hernani G. Abdon, who proved that his first stint as an RD can lead MGB-IX to truly excel!

This year's Mining Month and MGB 123rd Year Aniversary Celebration have been loaded with several activities. One of the highlights of this celebration was the first ever virtual IEC dubbed as e-Turo (MGB ZamPen's Virtual IEC) and adopted theme: "Responsableng Pagmimina: Kaagapay sa Pagbangon ng Ekonomiya sa Gitna ng Pandemya" which was livestream via MGB-IX's Official Facebook Page.
