OIC, RD Hernani G. Abdon issued the first Industrial Sand and Gravel Permit (ISAGP) for CY 2022 earlier today.
Denominated as IP No. 00054-2022-IX, the said ISAGP was issued in favor of Mr. Sonny A. Yagao Jr., allowing for the extraction and disposition of of sand and gravel and other consolidated materials authorized under RA No. 7942 or otherwise known as the Philippine Mining Act f 1995 and its Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) for industrial purposes, within the permit areas situated in Barangays Supon and Matun-og in the Municipality of Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur.

DENR Assistant Secretary Joan A. Lagunda held an Interface and Command Conference during her recent visit in the region last January 26, 2022.
Held in Dapitan City, the Assistant Secretary for Field Operations-Western Mindanao, Metropolitan Environmental Office-East and Legislative Affairs and the concurrent Director of the Pasig River Coordinating and Management Office, have provided her directives to the different Offices in DENR Zamboanga Peninsula including the Mines and Geosciences Bureau IX.

DENR Assistant Secretary Joan A. Lagunda attended the various activities organized by DENR-IX in Zamboanga del Norte during her recent visit in the Region from January 26-27, 2022.
The said visit of the Assistant Secretary for Field Operations-Western Mindanao Metropolitan Environmental Office-East and Legislative Affairs and the concurrent Director of the Pasig River Coordinating and Management Office, was her way of monitoring, validation and evaluation of the implementation of programs, projects and activities on the ground and the opportune time to dialogue with the officials and employees of the DENR as well as the stakeholders.
