A modest blended celebration of face to face and online platfrom using Zoom was held for the Retirement Day of Regional Director Roger De Dios and Engineering Aide Assuero Asuncion on Friday morning of May 14, 2021.
The entire program was filled with heartwarming messages, songs and slide show of photos reminiscing the years that the retirees have spent with MGB causing an emotional atmosphere. As a response, RD de Dios known as the “King of all Engineering” in the history of Cebu Institute of Technology where he graduated as Magna Cum Laude, gave his heartfelt message highlighting the lifelong lessons he has gained throughout the years. Meantime, Mr. Asuncion or “Nonong” as he was fondly called, expressed his gratitude towards his fellow employees and MGB as a whole.

The Mines and Geosciences Bureau-IX (MGB-IX) held a dialogue with the Sangguniang Bayan members of the Municipality of Sibutad, Zamboanga del Norte on April 26, 2021. This activity was upon the request of LGU Sibutad through a letter-invitation dated April 13, 2021, requesting to conduct orientation re pertinent laws, rules and regulations relative to mining.
