TSHES Mandatory Repertorial Requirements Seminar-Workshop

MGB-IX holds a two-day seminar-workshop to Industrial Sand and Gravel (ISAG) permit holders in Zamboanga del Norte to re-orient and update them re the mandatory repertorial requirements on tenements, safety and health, environment, and social development, from September 10-11, 2020 at the Mibang Hotel in Dipolog City.
RD Hernani Abdon who led the MGB-IX Team, informed the participants of the objectives of the said workshop during his opening remarks. The Team is composed of the following: Engr. Ramil. Mundo, OIC-Chief of the Mine Management Division (MMD); Mr. Ramon Alforte, OIC-Chief of Mine Safety, Environment and Social Development Division (MSESDD); Engr. Dennis Calago, Safety and Health Section Chief (MSESDD); Ms. Elaine Tan, Social Development Section Chief (MSESDD); and Ms. Jenelyn Dicen, Economist-designate (MMD).
Zambo Sur PMRB Convenes

The 2020 2nd Quarter Provincial Mining Regulatory Board (PMRB) for Zamboanga del Sur was held this afternoon at the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources (PENR) Office in Dao, Pagadian City.
RD Hernani Abdon as the Chair, presided the said meeting together with other members headed by Provincial Governor, Hon. Victor Yu, Small-scale Mining representative, Ronelia Medina and Manuel Silla, NGO representative. PENR Officer Richard Ligan acted as Secretariat during the meeting while Engr. Ventrick Ceasar Albano of MGB-IX, assisted RD Abdon.
Agenda of the meeting include evaluation of small-scale mining applications for commercial and industrial sand and gravel and orientation/presentation of the standardization of the mandatory requirements of the said applications.
MGBEA-MGB Consultative Committee Meets for 2020-2022 CNA Renewal

The National MGBEA-MGB Consultative Committee virtual meeting was concluded today via MS Teams. Headed by MGB Acting Director Atty. Wilfredo G. Moncano (management panel) and the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Employee's Association (MGBEA) National President, Maybellyn A. Zepeda, D. Sc., the meeting was called for purposely to discuss about the renewal of the 3-year Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) for 2020-2022.
Abdon Issues New ISAG Permits in ZaNorte

After completing and satisfying all the mandatory requirements, the Industrial Sand and Gravel (ISAG) applications of Mr. Rick Robinson K. Robins and Mr. Glen N. Yu in Polanco and Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte, were issued with ISAG Permits (IP) on July 16, 2020.
